It earned the highest Platinum safety rating from Euro NCAP, offers class-competitive payloads of up to 1,726kg, and comes with a market-leading 5-year/100,000-mile warranty as standard. Add in a comfortable, storage-packed cabin and the choice of diesel or 100% electric power, and it makes a very strong case for any business.

How big is a Nissan Interstar?

The Interstar panel van is available in two lengths and two heights, giving cargo volumes of 10.8m³ (L2H2), 13m³ (L3H2) and 14.8m³ (L3H3), with load lengths of up to 3,855mm. If you need even more space, the factory-built Luton van offers a huge 20m³ of cargo volume.

How many miles per gallon does a Nissan Interstar get?

The new Interstar's diesel engines return up to 39.2mpg on the WLTP combined cycle, depending on version, with COâ‚‚ emissions from 188g/km. Real-world economy will vary with load, route and driving style, but the new generation is significantly more efficient than the van it replaces.

What is the electric range of the Nissan Interstar-e?

The Interstar-e offers up to 283 miles of WLTP range from its 87kWh battery. With the standard 130kW DC rapid charging capability, you can add around 157 miles of range in just 30 minutes, while the 22kW AC on-board charger delivers a full charge in around four and a half hours from a compatible three-phase supply.

How much can a Nissan Interstar tow?

Diesel Interstar vans can tow up to 2,500kg with a braked trailer (3.5-tonne versions), or 2,000kg for 4.0-tonne versions. The electric Interstar-e tows up to 2,000kg braked. Trailer Sway Assist is included to keep everything stable when towing.

Is there a government grant for the electric Interstar?

Yes - the Interstar-e qualifies for the UK Government's Plug-in Van Grant, worth up to £5,000 off the purchase price of a large electric van. The grant is deducted from the price automatically, so there's no paperwork for you to worry about. Terms apply - see gov.uk for the latest eligibility criteria.

Is the Nissan Interstar the same as the Renault Master?

Beneath the bodywork, the all-new Nissan Interstar shares its platform and much of its engineering with the latest Renault Master - a van so good it was crowned International Van of the Year 2025. The Interstar pairs proven hardware with Nissan's own design and its standout 5-year/100,000-mile warranty.

Does the Nissan Interstar have an automatic gearbox?

Yes - the new Interstar is available with a 9-speed automatic transmission on the 130, 150 and 170PS diesel engines, complete with steering wheel paddle shifters and a space-saving column gear selector. The Interstar-e is automatic by nature, with a smooth single-speed drive. A 6-speed manual remains standard on diesel models.

Is the Nissan Interstar ULEZ compliant?

Yes. All new diesel Interstar models meet the latest Euro 6 emissions standards, making them ULEZ-compliant in London and compliant with Clean Air Zones across the UK. The Interstar-e goes further still with zero tailpipe emissions - and it remains fully exempt from ULEZ charges.

What warranty does the Nissan Interstar come with?

Every new Interstar is covered by Nissan's 5-year/100,000-mile manufacturer warranty, which includes 5 years of roadside assistance and is fully transferable.
