COVID-19 Update (November 2021)

Following the update from the government, new temporary, precautionary and targeted measures have been reintroduced to Loads Of Vans (LOV) to further prevent the spread of the new COVID-19 Omicron variant and will be reviewed in 3 weeks in line with government guidance. 

What is LOV doing to continue to keep our customers and team safe?

Since the 30th of November, face coverings are now mandatory and must be worn in our showrooms (unless medically exempt). Our processes around vehicle handovers, vehicle sanitisation, personal and vehicle protective equipment, well-ventilated spaces, signage and social distancing measures will remain the same. 

The reason for using face coverings:

Coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads from person to person through:
• small droplets
• clouds of tiny airborne particles known as aerosols
• direct contact

Droplets can be picked up from the surfaces they land on if you touch that surface and then your face without washing your hands first. This is why regular hand hygiene and covering coughs and sneezes are so important in controlling the spread of the virus.

The best available scientific evidence is that when used correctly, wearing a face-covering may reduce the spread of coronavirus droplets, helping to protect everyone.

It is important to follow all the other government advice to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). If you have recent onset of any of the most important symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19):

• a new continuous cough
• a high temperature
• a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of smell or taste (anosmia)
