New Fiat Doblo Cargo

The Italian designers at Fiat have been allowed to go to town on the new Doblo, and they’ve done a superb job. 

But it’s not just the outside they’ve been thinking about. There are a whole host of design features enabling this new van to be the class leader.

Innovations

Clever new BI-Link rear suspension has lowered the rear of the vehicle increasing the carrying space and reducing the height you have to lift things when loading up.

Single finger door opening allows you to easily open the doors whilst carrying other things and a simple but effective 60:40 split rear door means that you have to open both doors less often. 

Technology

Blue and Me is a brilliant solution to the problem of hands free mobile phone calling whilst on the move and also allows you to plug in you MP3 player or memory stick and listen to your own music. 

Stop and Start is available on the Euro 5 engines, which improves fuel consumption by stopping the engine whilst the vehicle is at rest and restarting when you want to pull away.  

Refinement

Under the bonnet you can have a choice of engines. No doubt the 1.3 16v Multijet Diesel with 90 bhp will be the popular choice with 58.9mpg on the combined cycle and a C02 rating of just 126g/km. 

Fed up with the London Congestion Charge, then perhaps the 1.4 16v Petrol engine with a LPG conversion would be a solution.  

With a choice of short and long wheelbases, high roofs and Combi versions for extra passengers, there will be a New Fiat Doblo for you.
